This Video is a How To on activating and securing the Administrator and Guest Accounts. These two Accounts are created when the Windows Operating System is installed, but are disabled by default and do not have a Password assigned to them. They will need to be enabled to assign a Password and then, in most Cases, will need to be returned to a disabled State. If Windows Pro or above is installed the Administrator and Guest Accounts can be enabled through the Local Security Policy Editor. I find it just as easy to do it manually.
(right-click) the Command Prompt Window Shortcut and choose "Run as Administrator". It can be found under either the Windows System Folder or in the System Tools Folder of the Start Menu, depending on the Version of Windows installed. Once the Command Prompt Windows has opened, type-in the Command "net user Administrator /active:yes". If done correctly the Notification "The command completed successfully." will be displayed. That enables the Administrator Account. Now a Password can be set for the Account. In order to accomplish that, hold the Windows Key and (press) the "R" Key one time. That will display the Run Menu. Then type the Command "control userpasswords2" in the Open: Box and (press) the Enter Key. This will display the User Accounts Menu\Dialog Box, make sure the Users Tab is selected. (click\select) the Administrator Account and (click) the Reset Password Button. A Reset Password Dialog Box will appear, simply add and confirm a Password and (select) the OK Button. (click) the OK Button under User Accounts to return to the Desktop.
Re-open the Command Prompt Window (with Administrator Privileges) and type-in the Command "net user Administrator /active:no". This will return the Administrator Account to a disabled State.
Repeat the above Steps substituting the Account Name for the Guest or any other Account to add a Password for them.
